Mike & Polly Tierney are here visiting us and Pearl to see about purchasing. They have a 2001 Cadillac Seville LS (front wheel drive) and are interested in the 17'. We just did a search here and found Dwight's posts, but he has a rear wheel drive. Anyone else have experience?? I've missed you all and look forward to Lopez Lake!!

for trailer tow ratings shows the 2001 Cad Seville SLS @ 2000# with a required Tow Package How ever the SVT can haul 3000# with tow package.
The diferance has to be the suspension on the SVT. So it looks like 13' is about it for the SLS with tow package. Unfortuately not many Caddie owners check that box when ordering. Gee, a Cad Escalade would do the trick with power to spare, might even yank the frame out from under a 17' :-) |

Glen, why not get a Avalanche for $$$$$ less. Same vehicle, different body.

Dwight's caddy is an oldschool FULLsize Fleetwood Landyacht......probably the classiest Casita tow I have ever seen. His rig did require use of a WDH unit despite the massive Caddy. Bet it rides great.

I will pass your thoughts along to the neighbors. Being a previous owner of a 13' (Chiclet/DawgHouse) we don't like to discourage people from that size, but the gentleman is quite tall, and I would hate to see them unhappy. They do not seem ready to make a change of tow vehicle, though.
