Camp-in-Cruise at Salamonie Lake Indiana
Salamonie Lake, IN – A nostalgic weekend of ’50s- and ’60s-themed activities is planned for Salamonie Lake’s “Camp-in-Cruise: Cool in Corduroy” event, Sept. 12-15.
Activities are in the modern campground in Lost Bridge West State Recreation Area.
Cruise in for the car show and other groovy family activities on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12 and 13. A pancake breakfast is at 9 a.m. At 10 a.m., visitors can learn which animals lived in the Salamonie area in the ’50s and ’60s in “Animal Tracks.” At 11 a.m., “Team Up to Win.” Bring your friends and try to prove you have the groove.
On Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 14 and 15, activities will be geared for ages 50 and older. Bring your high school cords for display. On Monday, Sept. 14, at noon, history enthusiast Liz Sanders will review the ’50s during the Senior Monday Luncheon at Salamonie Interpretive Center. The main dish is provided. Visitors should bring their own table service, a $1 donation, and a dish to share. “Team Up to Win” will be held again, this time for the 50-and-older crowd.

Registration for Camp-in-Cruise is requested by calling (260) 468-2127. A $3 fee per person covers the four-day event. Also, regular property gate fees apply. They are $7 per in-state vehicle and $9 per out-of-state vehicle.
